Orchestra at West – 2023-24 schedule

• Monday through Friday, August 21-25, 2023 9-12 (9-1 for Chamber), Back in the Orchestra Room at West!: ORCHESTRA BOOT CAMP. Short performance TBD Friday August 25 at 11am in the Auditorium
• Tuesday, September 5, 2023: First Day of School, Grade 9 – no instruments on this day
• Wednesday, September 6, 2023: First Day of School, Grades 10-12 – no instruments on this day
• Saturday, September 9, 2023: MUSIC DAY fundraiser, all students are asked to participate
• Wednesday, September 13, 2023, 7pm, Auditorium: Mandatory Orchestra Parent Meeting
• October 2, 2023: Winter at West tickets go on sale!
• Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8, 2022: Chamber Orchestra retreat @ Drift Creek Camp, Lincoln City (Chamber)
• Monday, October 16, 2023, 7pm, Auditorium: Fall Orchestra Concert (String Ensemble, Sinfonietta, Chamber)
• Monday, November 13, 2023, after school: Winter at West transition ensemble auditions – (open to those in Chamber and Symphony)
• Monday through Wednesday, December 4-6, 2023, 3:30-6:30pm, Auditorium: Winter at West rehearsals (Chamber, Symphony)
• Thursday through Saturday, December 7-9, 2023: 7pm Thu, Fri, 2pm and 7pm Sat, Auditorium (call 45 min. prior): Winter at West performances (Chamber, Symphony)

(All-State Orchestra in Eugene will be January 12-14, 2024, auditions to be completed by the end of September; see Mr. Thomson for details.)

• Thursday, May 23, 2024, 6:30pm, Gym: Orchestras of the West Area-Wide Concert, (String Ensemble, Sinfonietta, Chamber, Symphony)
• Monday, June 3, 2024, 7pm, Auditorium: Final Orchestra Concert and Senior Farewell (String Ensemble, Sinfonietta, Chamber)
